 | A hearty round of applause goes out to the Speech and Debate Team. They competed at the State meet in Elko, Nevada this past weekend. Commendable performances include: Stephanie Paredes who placed 1st, 3rd, and 4th in her Oratory Rounds and won two rounds of Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Sage Steffen who placed 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd in her Informative Speech Rounds and was ranked Top 8 in her Senate House. Giovanni Martinez and Jacob Weckesser also ranked top 10 in their Senate Houses. Tevin Stewart placed 1st, 3rd, and 4th in Foreign Extemp speaking, and Mele'a Cooley placed 3rd, 5th, and 5th in her Oratory rounds. Way to go Wolves! The team heads to Districts, the national qualifying tournament, on March 31st. |
